If medicines made you healthy, wouldn't the person on the most meds be the healthiest?
The United States makes up 5% of the world’s population, yet consumes 60% of the world’s drugs. Which begs the question, why do Americans consume so many medications?
The Doctors and the Drug Companies have used advertising and marketing over the years to “program” our society into believing that drugs are good. Drugs solve problems. Drugs make you healthy. Drugs are what you need. They have done a great job of it! If you watch television, you’ll notice that 1 in 3 ads are for some “drug” that’s going to make your life better.
There is very little money in cures, while there is a lot of money in drug treatments. The greatest profits come from ongoing treatments, which are administered for months, years, and best of all from a profit perspective, for life. If you don’t believe this, ask yourself, how much better do I feel when I take my cholesterol, diabetes, or high blood pressure meds? Chances are you feel no different, but you take it anyway for months or years, just so, hopefully your number gets closer to the doctors/Pharmaceutical companies ‘so called normal range’.
